Antitaurino

Spain, like most countries, is defined by a series of stereotypes. Bullfighting is one of those. I can still remember my neighbours bringing me a bullfighting poster back from their holidays when I was a child. Today things are different. The industry (and it is an industry) is slowly dying away. The number of events reduces every year and the audience falls slowly downwards. Whereas it was common to see fights on national tv, now you need to seek them out. This is a consequence of the main audience being older and the younger part of the population being less interested, or, as can be seen in these photos, actively campaigning against the practise. As I have friends who regularly go to demonstrations I've taken advantage to document the often colourful and noisy events.
